why am i a mormon?

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I choose to be.

I know with all of my heart that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith restored it to the earth.

I know that life here on earth comes with struggles and trials, but I also know that if we pray and if we live in a way that will bring us closer to God, we will be comforted and brought through our hardships.

I have been in the church my whole life so I am not sure what its like to be outside of the gospel, but I do know that within the gospel we have an amazing support system within our wards and stakes and that there will always be someone who knows what you are going through, whether it is your next door neighbor or our loving Savior and brother Jesus Christ; we are never alone.

The gospel brings people together and I feel it in my own life and I see it in the lives of others. I have a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I know that because of his sacrifice and pure love for each and every one of us, we have the opportunity to live here on earth and to one day return to our loving Heavenly Father.

I have a testimony of prayer and I know that prayers are answered so long as we do our part and strive every day to be a little better than we were the day before.

I know that by being a member of the Church I have the Spirit in my life and that I am comforted and prompted to do certain things.

I love the Lord and I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
